FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I commission a custom artwork?
To begin the process, simply email me or fill out the form on the contact page. Share your ideas, the subject you'd like drawn (pet or wildlife), and any reference photos you have. From there, I’ll guide you through the next steps.

2. What materials do you use?
I work primarily with soft pastels and pastel pencils on high-quality Pastelmat paper. This combination allows for rich color, fine detail, and a professional, lasting finish.

3. Can I request a piece to match my home décor?
Absolutely! I can tailor the background tones and overall color palette to suit your interior. Feel free to share photos of your space or a general theme, and I’ll incorporate that into the final piece.

4. Do you work from photographs?
Yes, I work from clear, high-resolution photographs. For pet portraits, photos that show personality, eye detail, and natural lighting work best.

5. How long does a commission take?
Completion time varies depending on the size and complexity of the piece, as well as my current schedule. On average, you can expect a turnaround time of 3–8 weeks. I’ll provide a more accurate timeline when you enquire.

6. What sizes are available?
I offer a range of standard sizes, but custom dimensions are also available on request. Common sizes include A4, A3, and A2. Let me know what suits your space and I’ll work with you to find the perfect fit.

7. Do you ship artwork?
Yes, I ship both within the UK and internationally. All artwork is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely. Shipping costs will be included in your quote.

8. Is framing included?
Framing is not included by default, but I’m happy to recommend framing options or provide guidance to ensure your piece is displayed beautifully and protected properly.

9. Can I see progress updates?
Yes! I can provide updates at key stages of the artwork if you'd like to follow the process. Some clients enjoy seeing the progress, while others prefer to wait for the final surprise.

10. What if I have a specific wildlife subject in mind?
I love working on wildlife subjects! If there’s a particular animal or scene you’d like whether it’s a majestic stag, a curious fox, or a bird in flight just let me know, and we can create a piece that brings your vision to life
